Airline Overview
Founded in 2004, Virgin America (VX) is headquartered in Burlingame, Calif., and operates from two hubs at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The airline flies to 20 destinations within the United States and three destinations in Mexico. Virgin America also has codeshare agreements with Hawaiian Airlines (HA), China Eastern Airlines (MU), Singapore Airlines (SQ) and Virgin Australia (VA). The airline's fleet of 55 aircraft consists entirely of Airbus planes. Each is configured with three classes of service: First Class, Main Cabin Select and Main Cabin. Elite frequent fliers have access to the carrier's lounge, Virgin America Loft.
